AGIOS STEFANOS (WEST-CORFU)

Agios Stefanos (NW) (Gr. Άγιος Στέφανος, meaning Saint Stephen) was originally a fishing village for the nearby village of Avliotes located on the north west coast of Corfu island. In 2011, its population was 176.

It is located 38 km from Corfu town, between Sidari and Arillas. It has a safe harbor on the north west side of Corfu Island, from where boats sail regularly to every destination, including the four inhabited islands in the near vicinity. It is a must to visit the Diapontia islands, Mathraki, Othoni, Diaplo and Erikoussa. Agios Stefanos (Beach) attracts a number of tourists each summer. This beach has been awarded a “blue flag” and is a draw for many tourists as well as locals who enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea. The village still has its old church where it gets its name and some pretty old traditional buildings; it offers a few hotels and apartments, there are also a variety of tavernas/restaurants and an assortment of bars. Agios Stefanos (Beach) can be reached by the regular local bus service, via taxi or by private vehicle.  (wikipedia)

Also nearby are a couple of other nice beaches, Agios Georgios Pagon and Arillas beach to the south.
